Liz Lee just graduated from UIC’s Biomedical Visualization program, where she developed her eye for design now actively employed in the design and layout of the new house. She is a closet crafter, and has boxes and boxes of junk she swears is not junk and that it will be an amazing pillow or some such thing some day. She is currently working on her patience and as a jack of all trades as a freelance illustrator/desiger, anaplastologist, and for the Illinois Medical Emergency Response Team.
Thor Martin is currently employed as a Cook County State’s Attorney for the city of Chicago. He grew up renovating houses with his parents, Janis and Randy Martin, and that love of renovation has continued through his adult life.
Liz and Thor got married in 2007, though they’ve been together since 2000. This is Liz’s first home she owns, although she was there for Thor and Matt’s renovation of the Rice Street house.
Matt Martin is an architect in Chicago. He also can’t get away from the renovation bug, although he does get to escape to our other property, a greystone two flat in Chicago we call Rice street. However, he can’t quite seem to get away from our tenants…
